The zip file also contains DBXtract50.htm, in which are the directions for use of the program.

Note:  Do not check the recover mode option, unless you are trying to recover messages that you manually deleted (see the help file).

Also, test the program first on a folder that OE recognizes has messages in it to verify it extracts them as eml files, as indicated in the help file.  If the program is unable to extract messages from a file, then try opening the file in Notepad and verify it is not empty (e.g. full of zeroes).
