5 Reasons Why the IPad is A Super Tech Device

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Who doesn’t want an IPad? Everyone is talking about it and despite the fact that the first release will surely have a few bugs, there are a few features that make this thing too hard to pass up!

  1. Watching Movies Anywhere and At All Angles – The exceptionally crisp 9.7″ screen has a wide viewing sweet spot so you friends or kids sitting next to you can see it even at hard angles. The glassy screen makes cartoons, websites, books etc look amazing but we were amazed at how high-res movies looked. Hulu.com shows were perfect. Maybe we should cancel cable and just keep our IPad.

  2. Ibooks are Amazing – Now we are all fans of the old paperback or hardback book, but reading books is so wonderful on the IPad. Kids will love the way the pages magically turn and the screen is very kind to the eyes. We prefer the reading experience over the Kindle.
  3. Fingerprint Resistant Screen – The screen does a great job of resisting finger prints. It is not perfect, but it is almost perfect. Of course you can clean it with a simple screen wipe or very soft cloth.
  4. Yes! the Internet – Most of us can’t leave home without the internet. IPad gives you two options: WIFI connectivity and/or 3G connection with AT&T data plan.
  5. Photos – You can read more about IPad photo features here, but the highlights are
  • Cameras plug into the IPad for easy photo transfer
  • All sorts of different ways to display albums
  • Gyroscopic screen allows the photos to flip and rotate no matter which way you turn it.
  • Of course you can tap, pinch and flick through your photos

Should I fix my printer?

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Many people call MePush wondering if we can fix their printer. The answer is yes we can, technically. The real question is “Does it make sense to?” If you have a typical home inkjet printer that is 150$ or less, it typically does not make sense to fix the printer as the cost of labor and parts can quickly exceed the cost of a new printer. Even if the cost of repair is only 60-75% of the original printer or new printer cost, we still encourage you to get a new printer because in the end you are stuck with a printer that already broke once and likely will again someday.

That said, it is often a good idea to get a new printer that uses the SAME INK AS THE OLD PRINTER so that you can spare yourself the high expense of ink, which is what the manufacturers really want you to buy.
